How to tell which Screen part you need for the iPhone 3G/3GS:

• LCD Only: If the image under the glass touchscreen is distorted and the touchscreen is NOT broken then you only need the LCD repaired 
  
• Touchscreen (digitizer): If the top touchscreen/glass is cracked or broken but the image under it is fine then you only need the Touchscreen repaired
  
• Complete LCD with touchscreen: If the top touchscreen/glass is broken and the lcd image is either distorted or blank then you need a complete LCD/screen
